Specs
This is a
fast bicycle that should cost way more than it does. It's an
against-the-clock bike, an aerodynamic time trial or
triathlon rocket ship, not a modified road bike. Every spec
reflects that focus.
You can read those specs, look at the photo and see what it
is. You can't see that the frame's main triangle is now made
from X-Fusion Alpha tubing, so the bike is much lighter and
its ride more compliant.
The low-profile 650 wheels, 20-spoke front, 24 in back, are
now made with American Classic hubs, stainless spokes with
alloy nipples, Ritchey deep-section rims and Vittoria
UltraSpeed triathlon tires.
The Shimano 105 parts are enhanced with an FSA crankset with
42 and 55-tooth rings. Last year's fork was aluminum, now
it's an aero carbon model. The bars and are Syntace this
year, the bar ends Syntace C2 Clip Ultralite. The bars and
stems are size-specific; Bigger frames get wider bars and
longer stems. The shifters are still the best, expensive
Shimano Dura-Ace 9-speed.
