Because technology never sleeps,
the 2002 Pro is made from Fuji's new X-Fusion Alpha tubing.
X-Fusion's aluminum alloy refuses to lose strength when it is
welded. X-Fusion tubes can be made thin-walled. Fat, light,
thin-walled tubes like the Pro's downtube are strong and stiff
but still somehow compliant. An X-Fusion bike, a new Pro for
example, will be lighter and sweeter-riding than a bike made
from yesterday's aluminum alloys. But -- good material and thin walls aren't everything. You have to select the correct frame tubes, frame size by frame size, for diameter and wall-thickness taper. Make the right choices and the bike rides great: lively, stable, not a bit harsh. Fuji's product people make those correct choices. A Pro is a great tool for your club's weekend hammerfests or the Paris-Roubaix cobblestone classic. The lovely Campagnolo parts and Vittoria tires will cope easily with either ordeal. The new tubing and carbon frame parts will keep you fresh for the final sprint, at the city limit sign or on the Roubaix velodrome. |
