If you've never been to a velodrome or seen track racing on TV, this is what's called a "track iron." If you can call a bike made from aero-shape X-Fusion Alpha tubing an iron. Single-gear and brakeless like the Track, this is a much more purposeful bike, made for racing on the steep banks of velodromes. You can learn more about the Track Pro by reading the specs and looking at the photo than I can tell you in 200 words. I will say that the cutout in the back of the seat tube is NOT done by sawing out a section, flipping it and welding it back in. X-Fusion tubing is quite malleable before heat-treating; The cutout section is formed THEN. Post heat-treating, X-Fusion will fiercely resist any such tweaking, just as it resists power-robbing deflection. Cool, huh? |
