Joe Breeze is not only credited with building the first modern-day mountain bikes (1977), but also the first uni-crown forks (1980), and one of mountain biking’s first after-market items (Hite-Rite, 1985). In 1988, he arrived at his often-imitated Breeze-In dropout, and in 1997 he created Breezer D’fusion tubing. It was also in 1997 that he introduced integrated headsets on Breezers.
