1) Compare this bike. Call around and read off the parts spec of this bike and ask other stores their price on a similar bike. They will tell you at least $1,400.

Compare to the Trek, Specialized or Giant road bikes which sell for around $1,400. The Super Strada is about half the price and has equal or higher level front derailleur and higher level wheels with precision bearings.

2) Make sure you get current name brand parts. Other $899.95 bikes are either equipped with yesterday's technology or lower level with heavier and lower quality Sora/Tiagra or Tiagra+105 bikes with heavy entry-level wheels and parts and will NOT have SRAM Apex brakes.

3) Watch out for other bikes that substitute lower level Gossamer cranks and heavier, lower level Alex R450 wheels.
