IMPROVED FOR 2013: New frame design fits more comfortable, wider tires. Well equipped with 700x28c tires, wider tires are more effective at killing road buzz and discomfort. For even more comfort and durability, you can get easily use your own wider tires up to 700x32c.

Handbuilt advanced engineered and lightweight Altair 1 aluminum compact frame. Shimano drivetrain has 14 speeds, gives you some of the cutting edge tech of Shimano shifting without the budget biting price.

Versatile Comfort and Performance
The Dawes Lightning Sport AL can be set up for a comfortable upright position. Want to get more serious? Turn a few bolts and you have a lower position and a competitive racing machine while still having the low gears you need to flatten most any hill or mountain pass and headwind.
