Aluminum Frame Mid-Level Fatbike Comparison Buyers Guide (*as of 9/1/15)
When shopping for mid-level fatbikes and looking at reviews, there are three essentials to look for.
1) For best shifting, compare derailleurs and look for higher level parts. For example X9 is 2 steps better than X5 or Deore.
2) For wider range gearing that's easier to ride up and down hills, look for larger number of gears.
3) For best power and control, look for Avid BB7 mechanical disc brakes or entry hydraulic.

If your mid-level fatbike does not have at least these three top features, expect to spend about $700 more to get them.
